ABF Trucking concentrates on national and regional transportation of general commodities freight, involving primarily LTL shipments. General commodities include all freight except hazardous waste, dangerous explosives, commodities of exceptionally high value, commodities in bulk and those requiring special equipment. ABF's general commodities shipments differ from shipments of bulk raw materials which are commonly transported by railroad, pipeline and water carrier.

Qualifications
25 years of age
2 years of verifiable tractor/trailer experience (Candidates with less than 2 years experience may be eligible for training)
CDL with doubles/triples and hazardous materials endorsements
Good stable work record
Safe driving record (MVR and previous employment)
Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet DOT medical requirements
Benefits
Wages - Full-scale wage is $20.70/hour and will increase to $22.05 during the life of the contract (03/31/08). Over-the-road mileage rate is .52025 and will increase to .5540 over the life of the contract (03/31/08). (New hires progress to top rate within 2 years)
